Sydney Rotary Peacebuilders will be holding a  Zoom special meetup on Wednesday 10 February with veteran journalist, Hugh Riminton as the guest speaker, commencing at 6:00pm.

To help us navigate some of today’s challenging issues, Hugh will discuss “Democracy in Danger, Media in the Modern World.

Over40 years as a journalist and foreign correspondent, Hugh Riminton has been shot at, blown up, threatened with deportation and thrown in jail. He has reported from some 40 countries, witnessed massacres in Africa, wars and conflicts on four continents, and every kind of natural disaster.

In Australia, he has covered political dramas and his work helped force half-a-dozen government inquiries.  Hugh is a Logie Award and Walkley Award winner and is the author of “Minefields: a Life in the News Game.”
