Our ANZAC DAY BBQ at Hyde Park is back on Friday 25 April 2025!
A huge THANK YOU to last year’s volunteers – you made it a fantastic event. For years, this BBQ has been a highlight for the Rotary Club of Sydney — serving the community while sharing laughs, making new friends, and embracing our motto of "Service Above Self."
Now we’re calling on YOU to help make this year’s event just as successful!
How You Can Help
- Organising Team (Pre-Event): Join the logistics crew before the BBQ. Help with ordering, picking up, storing, and delivering supplies (sausages, onions, bread, etc.). We need at least 6 people on this team — more hands make light work!
- On ANZAC Day (April 25) - Volunteer for a 3-hour shift starting at either 6am, 9am, or 12pm. You’ll be grilling sausages, serving food, handling payments, or assisting with crowd flow to keep things running smoothly. (If those shift times don’t suit you, let us know — we’re flexible.)
- Set-Up & Pack-Down: Are you an early bird or a night owl? We need helpers at 5:00am to set up tents, tables, and the BBQ area, as well as volunteers around 4:00pm to pack up and clean the site once the event wraps up.
