All Club Members please note that notice has been given that on Tuesday 16th June 2020, the Rotary Club of Sydney will reconvene the 2019 Annual General Meeting.
Our Guest Speaker: Lorraine Tarabay, Incoming Chair of the Museum of Contemporary Art
Lorraine is a former Sydney and New York investment banker specialising in advising corporates, multinationals and government on their mergers and acquisitions, capital markets strategy and privatisations.
As a senior investment banker, she advised many multinationals such as Procter & Gamble, Gillette, Colgate-Palmolive, Kellogg, Playtex Products, Avon, Kimberly-Clark, General Mills and Constellation Brands. She also advised Australian and international companies on domestic and cross-border deals including government privatisations and public-private partnerships.
Lorraine is currently Deputy Chairman and Chairman-Elect of the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA). She also serves as Chair of the MCA’s Director’s Circle and is a member of the Finance Committee, Nominations Committee and Foundation Council (a group of individuals who secure philanthropic support for new acquisitions for the MCA Collection). She is leading the MCA’s newly established philanthropic venture, the Social Impact through Art Fund, bringing philanthropic support to the Museum’s creative learning programs, including GENEXT, kids and family and early learning programs.
She is a member of the Tate museum’s International Council, the Venice Council for Australia’s representation at the Venice Biennale, the Board of Global Women Leaders – Strategic Philanthropy and the Board of Kincoppal Rose Bay school, where she also serves on its Investment Committee. She is a member of Sydney Dance Company’s Dancers Circle, the Patron’s Circle of the Sherman Centre for Culture and Ideas Fashion Hub and until recently was a Board member of Studio A.
