Every year our volunteers converge at Sydney Olympic Park and set up tables, the barbie, etc on Saturday morning and start welcoming the swimmers and their support teams around noon. The excitement and the laughter fill the center especially when the kids and their Swimschool teams arrive. Ready, set, go and the splashing begins with laughter and swimmers dripping from the pool run for a hot cuppa or a snack until the barbie’s fired up again for another round of hot sausages and burgers! When night falls some go to rest and others continue swimming until the barbie is on again for the brekkie service early Sunday morning. The laps are tallied and keep adding up until Sunday afternoon when some winners are announced! Everyone participating in this event actually feels like a winner!

For this year’s event we were expecting 800 people and 270K funds raised. With your help we can maintain the momentum in 2021!

The MS 24 hr Mega Swim is only 2 weekends away!

Volunteers are needed for slots from 9 AM on Saturday to 2 PM on Sunday.

The MS 24 Hour Mega Swim is a fun team relay event we’ve been supporting since 2008 where teams have a swimmer in the water for the entire 24 hours and compete for laps swum and money raised, in support for people living with multiple sclerosis.

A small army of Rotarians and friends will be helping to administer the event and provide refreshments for hungry swimmers.
