The Centenary of Rotary in Australasia in 2021 is an opportunity to celebrate 100 years of Rotary achievements and demonstrate the contemporary relevance of the Rotary motto “Service above Self”. The Rotary Clubs of Sydney, Melbourne, Wellington and Auckland in partnership with UNICEF Australia and New Zealand will lead the Immunisation Across the Pacific Project to support the sustainable introduction of three new life-saving vaccines across nine Pacific Island Countries. The three life-saving vaccines: Rotavirus Vaccine, to prevent a severe form of diarrhoea; Pneumococcal Vaccine, to prevent pneumonia, blood infections (such as sepsis) and meningitis; Human Papillomavirus Vaccine, to prevent some kinds of cervical cancer.
