Service and Awards

This committee combines Community and Vocational Service Community Service Award – An annual award made to an outstanding community service volunteer who has performed meritorious, dedicated and inspirational community service. MS Mega-Swim – Rotary assists the MS Society in annually raising 6 figure sums through the management and support of corporate sponsored teams in a 24 hour Swim held at the Aquatic Centre late in June. Australian Citizenship Ceremony – Each year S & A members arrange for a small group of applicants to become Australian Citizens at a regular Club meeting. Soukup Scholarships – an ongoing series of small scholarships awarded to those in need, particularly from rural and regional areas, who are involved in post-secondary education - up to $50,000 pa in sum total. ANZAC Day BBQ – A fund raiser and brand builder, held on the Hyde Park boundary with Bathurst Street for marchers, service providers and spectators
